The Atonometrics PV Reference Cell provides high accuracy outdoor solar irradiance measurements for PV system monitoring.
The solar reference cell unit includes an encapsulated silicon cell mounted in a sealed aluminum housing. The cell housing is user-accessible for cable maintenance. An integrated Pt-100 RTD provides cell temperature measurement.
Spectral response matching to specific PV technologies can be improved by the use of optional optical filters.
The optional Field Calibration System available from Atonometrics allows field recalibration of the cell, eliminating down-time associated with regular laboratory-based recalibrations.
Atonometrics also offers heated reference cells to shed snow or ice in cold climates as well as an automatic washing system to keep the reference cell clean without operations labor.
